Proposal and Evaluation of a Function-Distributed Mobility Architecture for the Future Internet

چکیده
Several task forces have been working on how to design the future Internet in a clean slate manner and mobility management is one of the key issues to be considered. However, mobility management in the future Internet is still being designed in an “all-in-one” way where all management functions are tightly kept at a single location and this results in cost inefficiency that can be an obstruction to constructing flexible systems. In this paper, we propose a new function-distributed mobility management architecture that can enable more flexible future Internet construction. Furthermore, we show the effectiveness of our proposed system via a cost analysis and computer simulation with a random walk mobility model. key words: distributed mobility, future Internet, random walk model, cost analysis

Evolution of the Asia-Pacific Trade Architecture: Stocktake and Future Outlook
APEC Study Centre, University of Auckland, Auckland, New Zealand    Abstract:  One of the key sets of questions underlying Asia Pacific economic cooperation over the last decade has been over the nature and form of the regional trade architecture that would gradually emerge from the turmoil of the Asia-Pacific ânoodle bowlâ of bilateral and plurilateral FTAs, and how that architecture...
متن کاملSmart City Reference Model: Interconnectivity for On-Demand User to Service Authentication
The Internet of Things and Services (IoTS) has encouraged the development of service provisioning systems in respect to Smart City topics. Most of them are operated as heterogeneous systems which limits end customers’ access and contradicts with IoTS principles. In this paper, we discuss and develop a reference model of an interconnected service marketplace ecosystem. The prototypical implement...
متن کاملA Systematic Review of the Factors Affecting Elderly Mobility in Urban Spaces
The aging of the population in developed and developing countries calls for special attention to improve the quality of life for older people. Meanwhile, one of the key factors influencing the quality of life of older people is their mobility. Most of the previous studies have considered the mobility of younger people while considering the aging of the population, the mobility of older people n...
متن کاملDistributed Mobility Control in Proxy Mobile IPv6 Networks
In future mobile networks, the ever-increasing loads imposed by mobile Internet traffic will force the network architecture to be changed from hierarchical to flat structure. Most of the existing mobility protocols are based on a centralized mobility anchor, which will process all control and data traffic. In the flat network architecture, however, the centralized mobility scheme has some limit...
متن کاملOptimizing Multicast Content Delivery over Novel Mobile Networks
The rapid growth in mobile traffic leads to the current evolution trend of mobile networks towards a flat architecture. However, the centralized mobility management protocols (e.g. MIPv6, PMIPv6) are not optimized for the flat architecture due to their limitations e.g. complex tunnel management, scalability issue, etc. Hence, a novel mobility management has been proposed for the flat architectu...
